Updates to "NW" Directional Within Gig Harbor City Limits

Addresses within city limits are being modified to no longer contain the “NW” directional designator. The City is implementing these modifications to ensure they continue to provide their citizens with the highest & most defined level of safety available.

“By updating addresses within the City limits to remove the NW directional, city addresses are clearly delineated from the rest of the peninsula. This will aid first responders and hopefully reduce response times,” said Katrina Knutson...

Public Hearing - Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) 2020 - 2025 on 6/24/19

Notice is hereby given that the Gig Harbor City Council will conduct a public hearing on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. to accept public comment regarding the annual adoption of the Six-Year TIP 2020 - 2025.

Bring Your Own Bag Law Goes Into Effect on June 18th

The Gig Harbor City Council passed the Bring Your Own Bag (BYOB) ordinance on December 10, 2018. This law goes into effect June 18, 2019. At that time all retail establishments in Gig Harbor will be required to comply.

The purpose of the BYOB law is to encourage shoppers to choose reusable bags which will help reduce waste and litter from disposable carryout bags.
